Modern & European Restaurants in South Bank

All Bar One
I recently went to the Bar in London, and found it great, it was very busy and the service was still of a good standard and speed. I would like to however mention that when I ordered my Home Made Indian Spicy Lamb Burger i was very disapointed, the dish was tasteless. If your would like tips on... read more

Anchor & Hope
A fan of english food this is by far the best gastro-pub ive been to. The food is better than most restaurants and is therefore very busy 7 days a week. a lively atmosphere, great passionate staff and british food to die for, a must in London.

The Archduke
The Archduke Restaurant on London’s South Bank is set in stunningly converted Victorian railway arches just a step from the Royal Festival Hall, National Theatre, London Eye, London IMAX, and Waterloo Station, so it’s packed with arty types, tourists, and clever commuters who know where... read more   Maurice Horhut   |  Benet McLean   |  Martin Blackwell   |  Ian Pearce   |  Maureen Connett   |  Dave Gelly + Nigel Bennett   |  Benet McLean   |  Ian Pearce + Ian Scott Taylor   |  Martin Blackwell   |  Richard Busiakiewicz   |  Ian Pearce   |  Maurice Horhut   |  Maurice Horhut   |  James Earl + Paul Canton

Auberge (Bermondsey)
For some unknown reason this place reminds me of the endless rows of bar/restaurants that would you see Playa del Inglés, Gran Canaria. And eating there you are certainly not short of the tasty options that are available. You probably wouldn't make it into your local, but it is worth the visit.

Baltic
A sleek success from Jan Woroniecki of Wodka, Baltic looks more like the nearby Tate Modern’s baby cousin than a restaurant. Which is probably one of the many reasons why it’s appreciated by the media, Arts and City crowd that come here to enjoy a beguiling break from the dining norm.... read more

Like Baltic, this looks more like a West London or Soho restaurant than a Southwark eatery and that's not necessarily a good thing. Innovative, yet simple meals, including a lovely zesty citrus-cured salmon, and fluffy fishcakes with well-flavoured accompaniments of grilled fennel and saffron and... read more
